Baltic Poker League’s 8th Edition Kicks Off Today!
The Baltic Poker League (BPL) is here again! Optibet, our beloved partner of The Festival Series, is the host of this epic league! With a boosted prize pool, players from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia will battle it out for the ultimate Baltic Poker League Champion title. And the best part? You can join the action too!
Key Highlights of BPL
BPL isn’t just about winning tournament prizes. Throughout the series, all BPL tournaments are part of a leaderboard, where players can earn points to compete for special rewards on top of the cash prizes. The top two players who collect the most points by the end of the series will be crowned the BPL Winner and Runner-Up, taking home the Winner’s Cup or Runner-Up Prize and a €1,500 poker package! You’ll also find giveaways from Optibet, tournament tickets, and more cool prizes on the leaderboard.
The events will be a mix of Progressive Knockout (PKO) and classic tournaments, happening multiple times a week at 20:00. The total series guarantee is over $30,000, and you can jump in through satellite tournaments. The tournaments are accessible on the Optibet app—just look up “BPL” to find the events. 'KOpokerLV' will be covering the action live on Twitch, so even if you're not playing, you can still watch and enjoy the games!
How to Get Started
The Baltic Poker League kicks off on November 10th and will run until December 2nd. Each BPL event gives you points for the leaderboard, and points from two major events (the Mini Main Event and Main Event) will be doubled. So the more events you play, the higher you can climb on the leaderboard!
Don’t want to spend a lot? Try qualifying through satellites! For just $0.05, you can join the Mega Satellite on November 10th at 18:00, where the top 30 players will earn BPL tickets. Other satellites will also be available on the days of main tournaments at 18:00, giving everyone a chance to play.
Main Events
If you enjoy knockout tournaments, BPL has PKO tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $11 to $55. This season also brings the Mystery Bounty tournaments, including the Main Event. Here’s a look at the major events:
- Mini Main Event: November 17th at 20:00 with a $33 buy-in, $2,500 guaranteed, and double points.
- Main Event: November 24th at 20:00 with a $55 buy-in, $5,000 guaranteed, and double points.

Gatis Beigass, the proud ambassador of Optibet Poker, shared a bit about the Baltic Poker League's journey and what makes this season so thrilling. Here’s what Gatis had to say:
"We started as the Latvian Online Poker League (LOPL) with only about 20 players, just four years ago. After four seasons—two each year—and with Optibet expanding, we decided to take the league to the next level and cover the entire Baltics. We changed our kid's name to BPL – Baltic Poker League, and now we’re gathering more than 200 unique players each season!"
Today, BPL is kicking off Season 8, and Gatis couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead:
