Wednesday’s Winners at The Festival Series in Rozvadov

Wednesday was the sixth day of the series, during which the Mystery Bounty reached its conclusion and the €550 Main Event began the journey that will continue until the end of this inaugural Festival Series in Rozvadov. It was one of the busiest days of the series so far, with four events ending, producing four champions.
Omri Vidal wins €300 Mystery Bounty for €27,150
Having assumed the chip lead just prior to the final table, Omri kicked on to take the Mystery Bounty title and the first prize of €27,150, which included a €10,350 WSOPE Main Event ticket. He defeated Maciej Kondraszsuk from Poland heads up. The event had 620 entries in total, creating a prize pool of €159,030, well above the €100,000 guarantee.
The event was an exciting one, especially on Day 2, when the bounties kicked in. Whenever a player was knocked out, the winner of the bounty pressed a big red button to start a box opening sequence which was displayed on large screens all around the venue, adding extra flair to the process. The three biggest bounties were worth €10,000 each and were all claimed early on, before the players had even reached the prize money, two of them in consecutive sequences.

With two tables left Italian Massimo Navarro had amassed over a quarter of the total chips in play and kicked on to take the win from Nicolas Langbecker, however the pair did a deal heads up. €125 Roulette Tournament
After the down-to-the-wire finish to the blackjack tournament on Tuesday, the roulette tournament also provided some excitement, running throughout Wednesday evening. Rolf Arne Bechstroem from Norway made the early running, posting an impressive 90,000 score from his 10,000 starting stack. It looked like nobody would caqtch him, as the second biggest score at that time was over 40,000 points behind.
However, with a couple of hours left in the tournament, Austrian Thomas Gugerbauer, who had won the PLO Knockout the day before, played an absolute blinder (UK slang for he did a great job), stacking the grid with chips around the zero and all its splits. When the ball dropped into the green zero, he had won over 120,000 in that one spin and posted a final total 0f 138,200, which was good for the win and the first prize of €2,614.

He also took second place in the €250 PLO Masters and now moves into pole position in the Player of the Series race. Leaderboard standings to be confirmed.
